SHIFING BOUNDARIES successfully concluded at Wooton Space on August 9th. Over nearly two months, six highly representative domestic artists—aaajiao (Xu Wenkai), Chen Zhou, Feng Chen, Liang Hao, Li Shun, and Sima Yuan—presented viewers with distinct visual impacts through their works.
In this exhibition, the artists' works explored themes such as "self-awareness," "dystopia," and "virtual vs. reality." The artworks in SHIFING BOUNDARIES invited viewers into a thought-provoking dialogue of ideas, attracting numerous industry experts and art enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds to Wutong Space. Many attendees showed keen enthusiasm and curiosity for the new media exhibition, as the artists' creations subverted conventional perceptions of art. Multimedia art granted art greater power to shape spaces and ignite imagination.
The artists' works run parallel to today's networked and mediated ways of life. These subtly speculative and philosophical creations, though understated, offered a refreshing space for free thinking amid the sweltering summer in Changsha.
Wooton Space will continue to focus on the creation and development of new media art. On this journey, we extend our gratitude to friends who have consistently supported and anticipated our efforts. Wutong Space will keep bringing you richer exhibitions and events.
