Artist Qi Le has been invited to participate in the Serpenti Infinito exhibition — a special Year of the Snake showcase by Italian jewelry house BVLGARI at Shanghai’s Zhangyuan. Set within Zhangyuan, a cultural landmark blending Eastern and Western architectural styles, the exhibition gains a unique historical resonance that elegantly mirrors its theme: metamorphosis and rebirth.
The exhibition brings together iconic masterpieces from BVLGARI’s Serpenti collection alongside works by 19 Chinese and international artists. Each piece draws inspiration from the serpent, exploring the multifaceted allure of this ancient symbol through diverse creative lenses. Marking the 75th anniversary of the Serpenti lineage, the exhibition is not only a tribute to the serpent motif but also a cross-cultural dialogue celebrating art and innovation.

Qi Le’s exhibited work, Lucid Dream, captures a serpent in the act of shedding its skin — a moment of renewal. Through intricate weaving techniques, the artist harmoniously fuses handcrafted metal textures with traditional forging methods, freezing an ephemeral instant where the serpent senses and releases sensory signals during its physical transformation. By reinterpreting traditional craftsmanship, the materials are imbued with vitality and meaning, embodying a dynamic flow of life energy between "the Self and its double".
